Behind the Craft: Why Every Piece at Momma J's Cozy Cottage Is Made By Hand

People ask me sometimes why I don't just sell mass-produced pieces — it would be faster, cheaper, easier to keep stock. And honestly? They're not wrong. It would be easier.

But easier was never really the point.

I'm a mom of five. Some days start before the sun's up and end long after it sets, and somewhere in the middle of all that noise and love and chaos, I found this little pocket of peace in making things with my hands — pouring resin, stringing crystals, glazing ceramics, tying dried stems into something that feels like a hug for your home.

Every single piece that leaves this shop has been touched by me, prayed over more than once, and made with the hope that it lands somewhere it's needed — not just wanted.

Why Handmade Still Matters

In a world of same-day shipping and endless scroll-and-buy, handmade is a little act of rebellion. It says: slow down. It says: someone thought about you specifically while making this. It says: this isn't just decor, it's intention.

What's Coming

I'm working on making Momma J's Cozy Cottage official — forming an LLC here in Florida, growing the product line, and dreaming bigger than I used to let myself dream. Thank you for being part of that story, whether you've been here since the beginning or you just found us today.

Take a look around, see what catches your eye, and know that whatever you choose was made with you in mind.

With grace and gratitude,
Momma J
