When God Turns Your Mumble Into a Miracle

Have you ever tried to pray and all that came out was a mumble? No neat sentences, no eloquent words — just a shaky breath and a heart too tired to form a real thought. Friend, I want you to know something this morning: God isn't waiting on your polish. He's listening for your honesty.

Think about Moses standing in front of Pharaoh. He told God flat out that he wasn't a good speaker — some translations say he was "slow of speech." He didn't have a script. He had a stutter and a whole lot of doubt. And God used him anyway to part a sea.

Romans 8:26 tells us that when we don't even know what to pray, the Spirit steps in and prays for us with groans words can't express. That mumbled, half-formed prayer you whispered over your coffee this morning? Heaven heard every bit of it — even the parts you couldn't say out loud.

So today, don't wait until you have the "right" words to bring your heart to God. Bring Him the mumble. Bring Him the mess. He specializes in turning our weakest, most broken prayers into miracles we never saw coming.

If you're needing help learning to slow down and actually hear God's voice in the middle of it all, my ebook Still, Small Voice was written for exactly that. And if you want a companion for walking through Scripture all year long, Grace Unfolding is there for you too.

Come say hi over on Instagram @mommajscozycottage — I'd love to hear what mumbled prayer you're trusting God with today.

With so much love,
